We are a group of Florida-based re-enactors, specializing in the portrayal of European men and women of the 16th- and 17th-centuries, as they lived in the New World. We troop under several names, depending on which period we’re doing, and are known as:

• Searle’s Buccaneers (17th-century English)
• Capt. John Tilden's Companie,Prince Rupert 's Regiment of Foote (ECW/Royalist)
• Drake's Men (16th-century English)
• The Company of Ponce de León (16th-century Spanish)      

We take great pride in doing historically accurate re-enacting, with fully researched and documented period military drill and domestic camp life. Since 1991, our members have participated in 16th- and 17th-century re-enactments throughout the United States and have acquired accurate clothing, flags, weapons, armor, kitchenware, etc. 

We have also done film and television work, including:

• Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006)
• the History Channel's 2005 production, Conquest of America: The Southeast
• National Park Service footage (e.g., Hernando de Soto in America [1999]; et al.)
• The Witness: The Pequot War of 1636-1638  (1998)
• Early Explorers of America  (1996)
• the Armed Forces Network 

We hope our portrayal helps the viewing public to a greater understanding of military and colonial life in the Age of Discovery.
